Federal Recourse Start Talking. Stop HIV., a new phase of CDC’s Act Against AIDS initiative, seeks to reduce new HIV infections among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) by encouraging open discussion about a range of HIV prevention strategies and related sexual health issues between sex partners. Effective partner communication about HIV can reduce HIV transmission by supporting HIV testing, HIV status disclosure, condom use, and the use of medicines to prevent and treat HIV.   Click here for more information.

FACT PRIDE BINGO 2014 was a fun SOLD OUT event

Over $2,000.00 raised for FACT’s Eddie Coogan Memorial Scholarship Fund

FACT Bucks County wants to thank Cora Berke for organizing a wonderful afternoon at The RRAZZ Room with a tribute fundraiser for FACT’s Eddie Coogan Memorial Scholarship Fund. Over $1,500 was raised in donations. We also want to thank all those who attended and performances by Bob Egan, Liz DeFour, Ashley Wayne Barlow, New Hope’s own Miss Pumpkin and her girls, Donna St. John and Christine. FACT presented with the 2014 Beyond the Rainbow Award by Planned Parenthood Keystone

On Saturday, April 26, 2014, FACT Bucks County President, Louis Licitra, accepted the Beyond The Rainbow Award given by Planned Parenthood Keystone at the Sing Out Loud and Proud event held at The RRAZZ Room located at the Ramada of New Hope. This annual event raises additional funding for Planned Parenthood organized LGBTQ youth groups. FACT is always happy to team up with Planned Parenthood Keystone and is honored to receive this award. WINTER FESTIVAL gives funds to FACT

2014 proved to be another successful year for the Lambertville & New Hope Winter Festival.  Through the generosity of others, and the hard work of the Winter Festival coordinators, over $45,000.00 was raised for local charities.  FACT Bucks County received a donation of $500.00.  A Big FACT Thank you to the Twin Rivertown Projects, Inc, organizers of Winter Festival!      This year’s Winter Festival raised $45,772 for the following groups and organizations in our local community thanks to your generous support!… As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, our proceeds from Winter Festival 2014 will directly benefit the following community organizations: Solebury Township Parks …

A New Tool for Treating STIs and Preventing HIV

CDC’s STD Treatment Guidelines are updated every four years to reflect changes in testing and treatment of STIs for specific populations. The Guidelines are available on the web, in wall chart and pocket guide formats, and in an eBook. Now, they also are available through a new mobile application, giving clinicians access to STI treatment information on their mobile devices just about anywhere.
