Taken from The Latino Post (9/12/2014): Jonathan Moore Scientists at the University of Temple have announced a breakthrough in the effort to find a cure for HIV and AIDS. Researchers say that they successfully completely removed HIV from cultured human cells, which they have declared a potential “game changer” in the search for a cure. More specifically, according to The Blaze, Temple scientists were able to eliminate HIV-1 genes from cell cultures. The HIV-1 genes self-implant themselves into the DNA of an individual. New Hope Boro Forms Civic Sector Task Force-FACT Participates
FACT Bucks County is now part of the New Hope Borough’s newly formed Civic Sector Task Force and FACT board member, Stephanie Sommers Mathews Nagy and FACT President Louis Licitra attend the meetings. Information from National Regional Resource Network Program These new 30 and 60 second video PSAs feature an overprotective father doing everything he can to make sure his son and family are protected. A narrator encourages parents like this father to also take care of themselves and get tested for Hepatitis B to protect their families. 1 in 12 Asian Americans has Hepatitis B, but most people infected don’t know it. These videos are part of CDC’s multi-lingual Know Hepatitis B campaign, conducted in partnership with Hep B United.
